Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge Photo SafariJust down the Interstate from me right at the Mississippi/Louisiana border is the exit for the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge (not the State Park in Franklinton). I pass it every time I come into the city. I've never explored past the lake that sits right at the exit. So yesterday, with the great weather, I turned off into the swamp and did a little photo safari. Then you drive on down a gravel road for a few miles and can stop off at some cypress swamps. There was an interesting old rusty water pipe sticking out of the ground spouting water. It offered some neat photos of the water backlit. Taken at high speed, the water looks like glass or ice. I look forward to coming back again in the spring and summer. DSC07296
